If you live in Polk County, you can take a breath. Our county clerk’s office has a system for you to enroll in that will help prevent this craziness from happening to you. I have done it. When my husband and I had to update our deed, we were immediately notified. Can’t control the bad guys, but this is at least a layer of protection….AND IT IS FREE.
